Answer to all questions and comments in respect of weekly articles from January – March 2010

God has given mankind the power, privilege, the right, authority and volition to make choices, with consequences attached to whichever side or way they (our choices) fall. Refer to (Deuteronomy 30:11-20). The verse 15, 19 says “….see I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life that both thou nad thy seed may live.

Adam in the beginning of creation was spiritually alive and in absolute authority in the Garden of Eden. He possessed the keys of life and death and named all animals that God created (Genesis 2:19. 20). Along the way, he yielded to the voice of the deceiver when his wife was manipulated in the mind, and lost control, authority, and the keys of life and death. You ask me how? I will tell you how;
In this world you are spiritually alive when God’s presence is with you or spiritually dead (fallen into sin) when God’s presence leaves you. Such presence was with Israel for forty years in the wilderness, so their clothes did not wax old upon them, their shoes did not wax old upon their feet. Refer (Deuteronomy 29:3, 4, 5)
In God’s Presence (you enjoy the following)
Uncommon favor
Unusual blessings
Supernatural power (eg. Raise the dead)
Deliverance power ( to cast out demons)
Extra confidence and strength
Absolute boldness
In the Old Testament they who obeyed the spiritual leaders were blessed. God’s presence in the old testament was through his selected servants like Moses, Aaron, Joshua with whom he guided Israel form captivity into the promised land (sifting the wheat from the chaff) as they journeyed through the wilderness, for about 40 yrs.
In the New testament era or dispensation, Jesus who declared on the cross “….It is finished…” had brought an end to the Old Testament practices, beliefs, doctrines, sacrifices, and has established a new and living way to success and victory into God’s presence now through – Him.
Therefore, in (John 14:6) “…he says I am the way, the truth and the life. No one goes to the Father except through me…”
In God the Father still exist, the supernatural presence of power and miracles, but this time the door way is through Jesus Christ.

The spirit of Christ works through all those who believe in his death, burial, and ultimate resurrection.
The evidence of power follows everyone that believes in the promises of Christ as recorded in (Mark 16:17, 18) “…these signs shall follow those who believe. In my name they shall cast out devils, lay hands on the sick to recover, drink poison in persecution but will live, speak in new tongues…”
Pastor Benny Hinn believes, so these signs follow his ministry in service to Jesus. Anyone at all, irrespective of race, color, ethnic origin, height, strength, family background etc, such signs and wonders shall follow your steps of faith if only you believe.
That is why in reference to your comment and question of 3/03/2010 at 9.08pm, the Ghanaian Bishop Daniel Obinim, under the power of the Holy Spirit could raise the dead.

NB:
In Christendom, we have those bible refer to as spiritual babes and spiritual adults.
Note the difference baby as against baby. By my simple definition

A babe- anyone who accepts Christ irrespective of age is a babe in Christ. He or she has to grow up spiritually in order for the signs and wonders to follow.
How?
Must read the bible and pray every day. In (1st Peter 2:2) bible says “…desire the sincere milk of God’s word and you will grow thereby…”.
Just as a baby is breastfed by the mother and physical growth takes place, so also spiritual growth affects any child of God who studies the bible and prays continually.
In the Old testament, God’s invisible presence accompanied the people of Israel daily as a pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night.
On the other hand, in the New testament era, the presence of God indwells the rational believer by accepting Jesus Christ as savior.(Romans 10:9,10). Confession is made with the mouth; belief is established with the heart that God has raised Christ from the dead. By that concept, salvation is established. It is a spiritual exercise that the ordinary eye cannot see, but is real.
Immediately one gets born again, there is a shift in realm of the spirit.

NB:
There are many under currents, under pinning’s and under girding that are linked with the born again concept and we shall explain all step by step.
In God’s Absence ( you experience the following)
Fear and guilt
Bondage
Doubt and suspicion
Sickness unto death
Darkness
Failure
Poverty and defeat
In the new testament, they who believed Jesus had the power to save like Benny Hinn. Any believer can achieve remarkable success by developing an intimate relationship with the Lord. How? Try the following:
Live a holy life (1st Peter 1:15,16)
Set yourself apart (sanctification)(2 Corinthian 6:17,18)
Meditate on scripture (Joshua 1:8)(John 15:1-7)
Hear his voice (Isaiah 30:21)
Then you can raise the dead and cast out demons also. For the bible says …with God all things are possible(Luke 1:37)

STEPS TO IMPROVE INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS WITH GOD
1.Give God all the Glory(Isaiah 42:8)
2.Wait on the Lord ( Isaiah 40:31)
3.Be sold out to God( your pride, dignity, ego, self image must hit rock bottom)
After you have paid your ‘dues’ then the following scripture can apply to your ministry:
a)(John 3:17)….’a man can receive nothing except it be given him form heaven…”
b)(Colossian 2:9) …’in Christ dwelleth the fullness of the Godhead bodily…”
c)(John 1:12) …”but as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God…”
